Sleek and Modern

Twenty four hours of travel and, yet, we step surprisingly lively off the plane at John Paul II International Airport.  Feeling like royalty we are met by our driver with a sign as we exit the baggage area that says in my fantasies:  Sir Alan and Duchess Christine, actually, it says Alan’s company name…but a girl can dream.

Next stop an apartment in the heart of the city.  It’s steps from a small grocery store and a popular brew pub.

The apartment is sleek and modern and, oh, so different than our Northern New Mexican style home with its brick floors and colorful eclectic furnishings. Shimmery silvers, mirrors, and shades of gray set a metropolitan tone and the perfect backdrop to our grand adventure for three months.

Atmosphere is everything.
